Shavings, Fermoak and Chips

A.P. John Shavings, Fermoak and Chip products boost micro oxygenation in the early stages of vinification – which helps the yeast function and stabilises colour.

These oak products also begin to create texture and mouthfeel, providing real tannin integration early in the winemaking process.

We have developed these products in consultation with winemakers to provide options well suited to the requirements of the contemporary wine styles.

The Shavings, Fermoak and Chips can be applied at the crusher, after primary fermentation to assist with malo, and for maturation purposes.
