A.P. John Coopers Oak Additive products have been developed in consultation with winemakers to provide options well suited to the requirements of the contemporary winemaker.
The range of A.P. John Oak Additives can assist with colour stabilisation in red wines during the primary ferment process and impart desirable oak and toast characters. As with the premium oak barrel range, the cooperage provides regional and oak grain selections within the Oak Additive range.
Choices are available in convection oven, medium, as well as medium-plus toast or our fire toast methodology. The convection oven toasting provides sweet upfront oak flavours while the traditional fire toast oak integration is soft and restrained.
